The Animation Virtual Open Day

This is The Animation School's open day, held online so you can join from home. The session gives an overview of the course modules in the Diploma in Digital Animation, shows work made by students, looks at the animation industry in South Africa and explains how to apply.

It is aimed at learners in Grades 10 to 12 who are interested in animation, and families are welcome to watch too. Parents who want to understand the course before their child applies may also find it useful, as may older school-leavers thinking about a career in animation.

You need to book a spot before the day. There is no travel involved. You watch on a phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. The school runs its virtual sessions on its YouTube channel. A video stream uses a fair amount of mobile data, so connect to Wi-Fi if you can. Have a few questions ready about the course, student work and the application steps, and keep a pen handy to write down what to do next.
