The Animation Open Day @ Johannesburg Campus

The Animation School's Open Day at its Johannesburg campus in Craighall Park is a two-hour interactive session. The school says it covers the South African animation industry and its three-year Diploma in Digital Animation. It also includes examples of student work, how the application process works, and time for questions.

The session is aimed at Grade 10 to 12 learners who are interested in animation, and family members are welcome. Older applicants may find it useful too. The school says applicants aged 23 and over with relevant experience can apply through Recognition of Prior Learning.

You must register before you go. The school says it does not take walk-ins. Arrive by 10:30 for the 11:00 start. If you're thinking of applying, note that the school asks applicants to present a portfolio of artwork for assessment. That makes it a good topic to ask about on the day. The school says it charges no application fee.

The campus is at 110 Conrad Drive, Craighall Park. The school says the campus can be reached by public transport and has secure parking.
