About this event

Spend a Day in the Life of an AFDA Student lets current Grade 12 learners see what studying at AFDA looks like up close. You spend the day at the AFDA campus you book for, sitting in on real classes and watching students at work. AFDA says the day gives you a feel for the people, spaces and opportunities across its Film, Live Performance, Business and Innovation, and Creative Writing programmes.

This day is only for Grade 12 learners who have already applied or registered for 2027 at AFDA. If you have not applied yet, this is not the event for you. Places are limited, so book early.

The R60 booking fee includes lunch. The day runs from 09:00 to 16:00, so plan for a full day and a way home after four.

The day runs at AFDA campuses in Auckland Park in Johannesburg, Hatfield in Tshwane, Observatory in Cape Town, Glen Anil in Durban and central Gqeberha. Book for the campus you hope to study at, and work out your taxi or lift route before the day. Bring questions about the course you applied for.
