Dita Beauty Training Centre is a private beauty training provider in Brackenhurst, Alberton, on the East Rand of Gauteng. It describes itself as a training centre accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), and it publishes its QCTO skills development provider accreditation number on its own site. The centre makes a clear distinction between its accredited full-time qualification and its short courses: the short courses are skills-based and lead to a certificate of completion, not to a QCTO qualification, so learners are asked to check each course page to see which kind they are signing up for.
Teaching happens in person at the Brackenhurst training centre. Classes are kept small, and selected courses can also be done one-on-one, which may allow more flexible dates. Most practical courses include supervised work on a live model, and some include access to a student WhatsApp support group after the training ends. No distance or online learning is advertised.
The full-time programme is the Occupational Certificate: Beauty Practitioner at NQF Level 4, registered with SAQA. It runs over roughly three months and covers make-up, manual skin care, lash and brow treatments, manicure and pedicure, face and body waxing, basic salon business skills and occupational health and safety. Intakes for this programme are set periods during the year and are published on its own page.
Alongside it sits a catalogue of short courses grouped into brows, facials, laser, lashes, nails, permanent make-up, waxing and beauty business. Examples include lash extensions, microblading, powder brows, microneedling, dermaplaning, chemical peels, laser hair removal, plasma pen skin tag removal and electrolysis. Group short courses run on fixed dates, often over a day or a weekend, with weekday and weekend options.
Many short courses are open to complete beginners, while some advanced courses expect earlier training or industry experience. Students from other provinces and other countries may attend, but travel and accommodation are not included unless a course says so.
Fees are published per course on the centre's website and in a downloadable price list. Learners book and pay online to secure a seat. What the fee includes differs by course, and a training kit is either included or sold as an optional extra. Payment plans may be available through Payflex or Student Hero (SHERO), subject to their own approval.
